Isn't this what like, "Liking" the Kokaro page on facebook is for? I guess you could do both, but this is why there's twitter and facebook?

If you are using any modern browser, you should be able to subscribe to the feed (or just add it to your RSS reader) and know when anything happens on the site. Not exactly the same as an email, but much cleaner and efficient.
