What are the different levels of rank?  I am adept.  Where do I stand in the scheme of things?

I know there are many many higher ranks, and I think the advancement is more a comparative rank than individual (if that makes sense).

Do you know what builds your rank the most or how a rank is calculated?

Most of all stats are weighted in your Rank total, which increases your Rank title. For example, gold, items, badges, medallions, avatars, etc. They all play a part. I won't give away specifics, but there is some hints on the Hints page: http://www.kokaro.com/hints.php
