Seeker of the Rare
« on: February 28, 2010, 02:05:04 PM »
New NPC added, read all about it here:
http://www.kokaro.com/seekeroftherare.php

The jist of this NPC is he (she?) will only look for 1 item at a time. Everytime a player returns an item, the NPC will start looking for another item. The rewards are pretty large on this one, much bigger than the newly named, Item Collector. Thanks to Jacq and Scapegoat for some of the ideas.

In similar news, the "Quest" giver NPC has been renamed to "Item Collector". Both of these NPCs will still add quest points on item return though.

Stay tuned for more NPC updates.

Suggestion: If the Seeker of the Rare hasn't found the item for, say, a month or a set number of weeks, make the item he's looking for change. It'd have to be a very extended period of time, but it would still have to change. What do you say?

So two people gave him items...and now we're back at square 1 with the falcon. Damn.

Actually, 4 items were returned, then he went back to the same item... given that it is almost entirely random, the odds are pretty unlikely, well I guess, given the amount of items, there was a 0.2% (ish) that would happen. It's pretty strange.

The reason is because each of those people only have 1 of it, and if you want to turn in a whole set you need every piece - as we can see the item is rare so it's not considered worth it. (I hate it also)
