May I suggest something?

I have voted a couple of times, but I tend to forget the option is even there, plus I think it is easy to not realize that the voting page is even there, since it is buried over in the "other" menu.

Maybe just a "Have you voted today?" reminder on the home page or something would get you more votes.  And a lot of sites have incentives for voting, you could do something like that.  A small amount of gold for each vote, or maybe a chance at getting an item.  Something like that.

The item name is just a bonus, you just get more gold for getting it correct, but don't lose anything for not filling it in or getting it wrong. I should maybe make that more clear though. Thanks!

I love text adventures.  There are some lousy ones that are basically electronic "choose your own adventure" books, but most are a bit more interactive than that.

But don't make it too easy.  Players should have to figure out for themselves to use the candle.  Don't give them too many hints or make it obvious, the whole point of text adventure games is trying different items in different ways to figure out what to do next.

But I do agree with Scapegoat, I think a battle system would be even cooler.

Hi.  I'm Vyra.  When I was a kid, I used to use Comic Sans as my font on AOL.  In gold on a green background (those were my school's colors).  In a large size (I can't remember exactly what size, I think it was 14 or 16) and in bold.  Thankfully I grew out of it.
